Screen Printing was first used in China for textile printing during the
Song Dynasty. Latest since Andy Warhol used screen printing for his
artworks it has become famous.
Due to small set-up costs screen printing is also one of the most
economic choices to customize your USB flash drives. Also, this customization technique is suitable for both small images as well as large format prints. Seems like Andy Warhol was not only a great artist, but also a smart business man!

How does it work?
After you have placed your order, your account manager will send all
necessary information to our production. Based on your data, our printing department prepares a screen for every spot color used in your logo or artwork.
The screen is a fine polyester mesh that is applied carefully on a wooden frame.
With a light sensitive emulsion and your data the screen turns into a
stencil. This stencil is used for printing - only the parts of your logo
let the ink pass through.
The printer presses the ink with a sqeegee through the mesh on the surface of the USB flash drive that is to be customized.

How many different colors can you print with screen printing?
For best results on promotional USB flash drives we recommend a maximum of four colors for screen printing, and offer you to customize your USB flash drives, USB accessories and USB packaging options with up to four Pantone spot colors.
Pantone Colors
A stable corporate design is a pillar of branding and successful business. To make sure that we match the precise colors of your logo when printing our production needs a reliable reference.
The Pantone Matching System (PMS) offers a large color space with over 1000 spot colors. It is the most common system used by manufacturers all over the world. Pantone colors are an internationally common standard if a color of a product needs to be defined, communicated and matched.

In the production process our printers will prepare your logo colors for according to the reference number and the recipe on the Pantone color fan. There are different Pantone color palettes or fans. When customizing and printing on USB flash drives we refer to the Pantone solid coated palette. All color numbers of this system end with a "C", such as e.g Pantone 485C - a deep red.
If your company logo has more solid colors - which is quite unusual -
it is of course possible to print as much colors as you need, and we can customize your promotional USB flash drive with more printed colors to meet your requirements. Please note that this will increase the set-up costs for printing. Every case is different, and in order to assure perfect quality of multi-colored printings with more than four colors we always need to check feasibility with our production.
