 Happy New Year 2008
After a dynamic period dominated by increasing sales of customized USB flash drives during this last quarter of the year 2007, we're now about to enter into a new and exciting round of expanding our enterprise. But before doing so, it is wise to take some time and slow down a little, take a breath and reflect upon what this last year has brought us. Only then can we make the right adjustments that are needed in order to ensure sustainable growth and to successfully serve more satisfied customers with high-quality customized USB memory sticks during the upcoming year.
Rapid growth needs to be balanced out with both production capacities and service capabilities. The positive response to our personalized flash drives from customers worldwide has been far better than expected and has lead to periods of hectic bottle-necks for our support team. Especially the sales peak for personalized flash drives in November and December made clear that we need to strengthen our customer support with new and energetic team members in order to spread out existing workloads and improve our level of service excellence for 2008. We have already started with recruitment of the talented and motivated people we'll ask to join us and look forward to serve you very soon with a new and improved service team - inspired by success and possessed by a striving spirit for excellence.
Quality control and improvement of our QC management system will be an important topic during the year coming. Growing competition among our channel partners and fellow manufacturers of USB flash drives in Hong Kong and China has put great pressure on pricing and some players are willing to make compromises on their general quality level in order to reduce costs. This is not how we do business. We firmly believe that only when supplying products that live up to our customer's expectation with 100% - only then we can ensure our own sustainable growth. Only when customers are fully satisfied with both our products and our service we can rest assure that they will return time after time for repeat orders.
Also our order processing systems will be streamlined and improved in order to smoothly handle the order volumes that the next year will bring us.
When it comes to partnerships and cooperation strategy our focus is clearly on establishing strong and lasting long-term business relationships with competent and stable cooperation partners. For 2008 we are looking at partnering up with more resellers of USB flash memory and also at strengthening and expanding our network of sole-distributors for USB flash drives, thereby penetrating more of the main markets:
Our existing German sales office will be converted into a GmbH, the German equivalent of a limited company, and added support staff will take even better care of customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Responding to feedback from UK customers we have decided to put more focus on the UK market and serve customers in the UK better by establishing a presence on the island and/or entering into a partnership with a local distributor or reseller of customized USB flash memory drives.
MemoTrek office administration in Hong Kong needs to prepare itself for a busy new year. Finance and Controlling are going to be optimized: Construction and implementation of an overhauled financial flow that is fit to steer our worldwide operations will take place during the first two months of 2008.
As you can see we are facing a busy new year of dynamic expansion during 2008. Planing and executing our decisions based on the trust that all sustainable business must be build upon a healthy core of satisfied customers, we would like to thank all our existing and new customers in 2007 for their kind support and trust throughout the year. We are hoping to serve you again in 2008 with better products and improved service!
